Job Description Highlights
As a Signature K9 Training Professional, you’re responsible for a hands-on lead by example approach to governing a one of kind experience for owners and their pets.
- Organize, clean, inventory, and maintain crate room.
- Be responsible for the care taking of up to 20 dogs a day including but not limited to potty breaks, structured play sessions, refresher training, administering medication, and feeding.
- Participate in the daily operations focusing on team development, customer service, and performance quality.
- Conduct weekly health assessments
- Clean and maintain kennels and potty yard.
- Bathe and clip dog’s nails
- When appropriate the opportunity to be cross trained as a dog trainer may be offered.
The Ideal Candidate must have:
- A strong work ethic. Dog trainers never work standard hours, so flexibility is important.
- A passion for dogs.
- A familiarity with balanced training methodology
- Familiarization with dogs and open to developing an understanding of canine behavior modification.
- Proven initiative and ability to champion a project from conception through to implementation.
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Skillful negotiator. Demonstrated ability to function effectively in high pressure environment.
- Ability to defuse conflict and effectively change the course of conversation.
- Sales/Marketing experience for client and prospective client interaction.
- Clean background including no criminal record.
- College degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Computer skills with the ability to do dog training videos (not totally required and will be trained).
- Former law enforcement and military are encouraged to apply.

DOG TRAINER APPRENTICE

We are seeking a DOG TRAINER APPRENTICE to join our team! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility. The goal is to train you up to eventually become a professional dog trainer and added to our staff.
Responsibilities:
- Handle general care tasks such as feeding and grooming of the animals
- Assist in restraining animals for veterinary management
- Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates
- Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
- Maintain a clean and healthy kennel and work environment
- Disposing of animal waste
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in animal care or other related fields
- Passion to help and treat animals
- Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Sell Board & train Programs, private lesson packages, and other services
- Organize, manage, and represent Signature K9 Training Academy at informational booths & demonstrations during off site events.
- Participate in the daily operations focusing on sales performance, team development, customer service, and performance quality;
- Monitor performance metrics and participate in implementation of a policies, protocols, and curriculum.
- Have the ability to lead, instruct, and manage subordinate trainers and ensure quality control in training results.
The Ideal Candidate must have:

- Sales/Marketing experience for client and prospective client interaction.

- Ability to organize one’s own schedule while being timely and dependable to clients.
- College degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Computer skills with the ability to do dog training videos (not totally required and will be trained).
